We do not provide travel vaccinations at the surgery. If you are going away we would advise you to ask for a copy of your current immunisations which we can print for you to collect from Reception. You should then seek advice from a travel clinic.
If some of the vaccinations you require are NHS vaccinations, for example Diphtheria, Polio and Tetanus, Hepatitis A, Typhoid or Cholera you may be able to have these at the surgery. Please note however that if you have booked a last minute holiday or are travelling within the next 4 weeks, it may be difficult for us to accommodate you without it negatively impacting the service we provide to our registered population and you may therefore have to have these immunisations at the Travel Clinic which you will have to pay for.
Please look at our Travel Vaccinations Info link below or go to NHS Choices website (www.nhs.uk) for more information.
Flu vaccination provides the best protection against an unpredictable virus which infects many people and can cause serious illness and death each year.
This year there are two vaccines, one for the over 65s and a different one for the under 65s. We have been asked to prioritise those patients who are most at risk.
More information about Flu can be found here and about the Flu vaccine here.
Contact us through AskMyGP to book your flu vaccination.
Book via our online services Patient Access or NHS app. Make sure you are booking the correct clinic.
Please telephone the surgery on 01934 624242 / 01934 628118 to book your flu vaccine if you do not have access to AskMyGP.
If you do not have a long term condition, you shall only become eligible later in the season. We will text you when further details are announced, so please let us know if you recently changed your mobile number.
If you don’t want a flu vaccine at all please let us know via AskMyGP or our dedicated flu phone line. This year more than ever, this is very important as vaccines supplies are expected to be in extremely high demand.
We shall continue to offer essential home visits for very frail patients to have their flu vaccinations at home and for those living in care homes.
Home visits are more risky for the staff and patients so wherever possible patients should attend the surgery.
Home visit slots are very limited and so are strictly reserved only for those who physically couldn’t get into a car to attend an appointment with help from a friend, family or a taxi.
Child aged 2 and 3 and those under the age of 18 at risk will be given a date and time slot to attend. If you can’t make the appointment given please contact us as above.
If your child is eligible to have a vaccination at school, but not otherwise in another at risk group, they should have their vaccine at school, not at the Doctors surgery.
